As a youth soccer player, Ford was first exposed to the field of physical therapy via his own injuries. His physical therapist became a mentor for him, and his passion for how the human body moved and healed was ignited.
Ford holds a BS in Kinesiology from Michigan State University, a Clinical Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Grand Valley State University and gained his post-graduate fellowship in orthopedic manual physical therapy from The Manual Therapy Institute in Austin, Texas. Currently there are only 800 of these fellows nationally, and he is the only one in Holland, Michigan with this fellowship training.
He is a fellow with the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists, and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
Ford believes in continuous education, and has additional training in Dry Needling, the management of injured runners and cyclists, and manual therapy for spine disorders. He focuses on orthopedic injury from the head to the foot, with the spine being the primary area he treats.
Since 2010 Ford has been busy in outpatient physical therapy clinical settings around West Michigan, specializing in the spine. He has held the role of Clinical Director in several established clinics, and has enjoyed his time working in a team setting. The growth of his own family helped him realize that concierge and in-home physical therapy is a service that could greatly improve the life of other busy professionals in the Holland, Grand Haven and Grand Rapids area.
